What a month May has been!

Well after a busy start to the year, Wotton Printers are pleased to say that the month of May has been one hell of a month! We’ve had lots of sunshine, and unfortunately, lot’s of rain too! Devon has been buzzing over the last few weeks as people have come on gone for numerous different events.

One of the biggest events that Devon has the pleasure of holding every year is the Devon County Show. Wotton Printers managed to take a couple of hours out the day and had a mosey round the grounds.

As a company, we work closely with the Mare and Foal Sanctuary, so it was nice for us to pay them a visit at Westpoint!

Unfortunately, over the course of the 3 days, rain proved to be a problem once again. On Saturday the weather was at it’s worst and the show had to be put off to visitors for health and safety reasons, which meant our fun was cut short, so normal business resumed.

In the last few weeks we have been working closely with Teignmouth Folk Festival, producing leaflets, posters and booklets for their festival which kicks off on the 21st of June and last for 3 days from the Saturday until the Monday. It’s our second year of helping the organisers and we are very proud to be involved with such a successful festival. (See picture above).

On a more personal note, Dominic Hart our estimator was a very lucky fellow, as he got to go to the FA Cup final and see Arsenal vs Hull. I think we’d all agree that Arsenal put on an entertaining show after going 2-0 down early in the game, and Dominic was delighted that Arsenal came away with the trophy! – They made him sweat though!

Another thing to mention – Congratulations to Charlie Newson, Dom Knight, Luke Wood, and all the other guy’s at Protime fitness with their stand at the NEC Birmingham. The show was successful and we are glad to hear the promotional event has helped them raise awareness of their business and what they do.

Something I won’t forget, and I am very proud to mention, is that my wife and I celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary on the weekend of the 17th & 18th – We had a lovely weekend away and we both know there will be many more to come!

To sum up May in short – We’ve had ups and down, spills and thrills, rain and shine, but all in all, May has been a great month, and we look forward to June with our fingers crossed that the sun will return!

Thanks for reading and we hope you have had a great month too.

Chris & all the team at Wotton Printers.
